Cures & Seals

Cresset’s water-based Cure & Seals are solventless, non-toxic, and non-flammable.  All meet ASTM 309 and AASHTO M 148.   All are Type 1 or Type 1-D (Class B) curing compounds for fresh concrete, and exceed California SCAQMD VOC rule 113.

As sealers, they help prevent liquid soils and salt water from soaking into concrete − allowing for easy floor cleaning.  They also prevent concrete dusting and CO2 concrete reactions.  Additionally, they bond to fresh concrete better than solvent-based cures.

Crete-Trete® 309-VOC Cure & Seal:

High solids, water-based acrylic for use on fresh concrete.  Covers 400 square feet per gallon for curing…up to 600 square feet per gallon as a sealer.  Use it to protect architectural concrete such as exposed aggregate, hard landscape products, ornamental objects, etc.  Exceeds ASTM specifications and all state and federal VOC regulations.

Super-Trete® 110-VOC Cure & Seal:

Medium solids, water-based acrylic cure and seal for use on fresh concrete.   Covers 200 square feet per gallon for curing…up to 400 square feet per gallon as a sealer. Medium solids, water-based acrylic.  Use it to protect architectural concrete such as exposed aggregate, hard landscape products, ornamental objects, etc. Exceeds ASTM specifications and all state and federal VOC regulations.

Crete-Trete® 400 Anti-Check Cure:

Water-based compound for use on fresh concrete surfaces.  Minimizes or eliminates “checking” of the concrete surface when hot, dry (desert) winds blow over the fresh concrete.  As a curing compound it covers 200 to 300 square feet per gallon.

Super-Trete® 115 Matte Sealer:

Is the matte finish version of Super-Trete 110-VOC.  The water-based concrete sealer covers 200 to 400 square feet per gallon.  It maintains a natural look and makes the surface appear more uniform.  It meets all state and federal VOC regulations.
